Better brews filter out to the Bay Cities with the introduction of Two Guns Espresso, sweeping into the old Driver Dawgs space in Manhattan Beach. Co-owners and New Zealand natives Andrew "Stan" Stanisich and Craig Oram quietly opened the quaint cafe last Monday, and serve cups of coffee brewed with Caffe Vita beans out of Seattle. Tea hails from the Art of Tea, and a rotating roster of sweet and savory baked good grace the counter. These are sourced from Cake Bakeshop (Manhattan Beach) and Breadbar (El Segundo). So, this, indeed, is a mostly local affair. As for the venue's name, Stan explains, "We are two Kiwi Lads (Two guns = double shots) we actually do triple shot ristrettos." Hours of operation run Mon-Fri, 6:30AM-3PM; and Sat-Sun, 7AM-3PM. [EaterWire]
