Chef Kevin Meehan of underground supper club Kali Dining isn't the only LA chef still serving foie. It appears that chefs have found a loophole in the July 1 ban by offering the contraband delicacy free of charge. Up above, a copy of chef Sean Chaney menu at Hot's Kitchen in Hermosa Beach. Order the Balsamic Burger and land a complimentary side of foie gras. The burger costs $13 with or without foie. So, it goes without saying, Chaney is pro-foie. In fact, he is involved in a lawsuit seeking an injunction of the foie ban. Hot's Kitchen filed a complaint with the US District Court of California on July 2nd, and this right here is a statement by Rob Black, Executive Director of the Golden Gate Restaurant Association on the lawsuit. The outcome remains to be seen. Spot someone still serving foie? Do let us know.
