(1) Culver City: After helping the BottleRock boys get their noshing menu off the ground, chef Jason Travi will open Fraiche nearby in Culver City. Rumor has it he's shooting for a Christmas soft-opening. [Chowhound]

(2) Studio City: Two people wrote in about ZenChi, around the corner from the infamous Robert Blake favorite, Vitello. One says: "It took over the spot on Moorpark that once housed Studio City Barbecue and it seems like they've been building it for two years. In fact, its sign said "Opening Spring '05" for a year until they added "Okay, '06." The other tipster says the chef used to work at Parkway Grill among other places. (3) Burbank: McCormick & Schmick will open a new location in Burbank in the former Dalt's space. Warner Bros. employees can rejoice over cheap happy hour specials, but should keep an eye out for the chowder. [EaterWire Inbox]
