More Kittens for The Hungry Cat

Stumbling by The Hungry Cat in Hollywood last night, we had a chance to take a sneak peek at the expansion space next door. An employee on a smoke break told us that there are plans for a raw bar and more seating. From the looks of it, it should at least double in size, with more patio space, too. Look for an August debut.

Smokie Smoke also told us that the Santa Barbara Hungry Cat is slated to open in April, about the time that chef/owner David Lentz's wife, A.O.C./Lucques chef Suzanne Goin, will have a debut of her own: twins.

The new space goes from the back of the existing restaurant to where Schwab's started; Schwab's signage still up. When you look at the space, it's enormous, but the new Hungry Cat will not go all the way back into the building.
