EaterWire: The Stand Opens in Century City, Ca' Brea Closed, Kumo Unsheaths, More on Sideways, and MORE!

CENTURY CITY—Wienies for wienies? Valley hot dog favorite, The Stand, opened a second location in the CAA building today. [EaterWire Inbox]
MID-CITY WEST—A reader sent word that Ca' Brea on La Brea is shuttered. The website says temporarily: "Unfortunately the restaurant will be temporary closed due to an electric fire. We will keep you updated. We presume it will take at least a month to repair the damage. Thank you for your patronage." [EaterWire Inbox]
WEST HOLLYWOOD— Someone noticed Kumo unsheathing itself today: "Drove by this morning, the paper’s down so you can see in." Remember we loves the pictures, too. [EaterWire Inbox]
HOLLYWOOD—That business about the newly opened Sideways changing into something else, maybe called the Green Door? Maybe not on the mark: "Just looked and verified that the Green Door is already in use elsewhere in the state, which is a no-no. Am guessing the previous incarnation of Sideways may have also run into issues with the movie of the same name." Yes, something our brethren pointed out earlier today. [EaterWire Inbox]
UNIVERSAL CITY—We need some help with this one: "Do you know what happened to the ICE bar in that red brick building on brick building off the 101 across from the Nissan dealership. It's always closed every time I drive past it and I can never find any info as to what happened." Any takers? [EaterWire Inbox]
