Opening Soon: Steve Adelman's Lift and Club 86

HOLLYWOOD: Here we have a lovely rendering of Lift, Steve Adelman's new 24-hour cafe that's soon to open in the Hillview apartment complex next to his newish gym, The Joint. According to Adelman, it's an upscale casual environment that "pays homage to health, but quick, convenient and easy." The menu features organic and raw foods, seasonable, fresh, and a lot of things incorporating house-made coconut water, which he simply calls "energizing." He expects Lift to open in about three weeks, so mid-May, early June.

Come July, the Avalon and Spider Club owner will open Club 86 in the basement of the same building. The space---rumored to be a speakeasy once owned by Rudolph Valentino---will be a combo performance venue, dance club, and lounge. "Classic Hollywood."
