Celebrity Plywood: Eva Longoria's Beso Opens in July

Earlier this year Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria told Martha Stewart that she invested in a new Hollywood restaurant, which we later learned would be at the corner of Hollywood and Ivar. (Note the pretty Plywood above, taken a few weeks ago.) We heard Todd English was a consulting chef, and that the food would be inspired by Longoria's Latin roots, but it was all rumor. We have no idea if the hunky chef is still, or ever was, involved, but new details have finally surfaced.

Take it with a grain of salt: The National Enquirer reports that Beso ("kiss") will open in July, the same month Longoria weds basketball star Tony Parker in France. The actress supposedly dropped $250k in the project. It can't wait until after the honeymoon? Club promoter Jonas Lowrance, once involved with the Tommy Lee-backed RokBar (now closed…more juicy goss on that later), leads the charge. In February, another owner/investor told Eater that the restaurant would "open in three months," and that didn't happen. With the liquor license still pending, this July opening sounds ambitious too. Stay tuned.
