Jonathan Gold's 99 Essential Restaurants list is out in today's LA Weekly, and it far supersedes West magazine's meh restaurant issue for one reason, and one reason only: This interactive, incredibly useful map. Well, OK, and because Gold's writing is a bit more inspired than the LAT's, and he actually makes us want to go to every single one of these 99 restaurants, even one that serves "spicy, stinky boat noodles."
