WEST HOLLYWOOD: A reader sends word and this flyer that Cha Cha Cha on Santa Monica Blvd. is for lease: "Didn't even know it was on Death Watch." You know what...it wasn't. We always forget about this place and haven't been for years. A bunch of Yelpers raved about the happy hour just a few days ago, so it sounds like it's still open. We asked an insider for an official response: "The Anaya brothers have been in negotiations with the landlord for some time now. They have made a verbal agreement for the future - for Cha Cha to stay put - but the lease is still in the hands of the attorneys. There have been no plans for them to move at all, since they have such a huge following in WEHO. It is a negotiating tactic - they knew that the landlord had placed the location in real estate listings to see what the "market value" was for him several months ago, when the Davis brothers bought the nightclub next door and made plans for a huge, upscale overhaul." So it sounds like Cha Cha Cha will stay put for now. More on that Art and Alan Davis project next...
