CONFIRMED: Bastide Officially Opens Tomorrow
Tuesday, September 4, 2007
WEST HOLLYWOOD: We have firm confirmation, folks: After many, many delays, Joe Pytka officially throws open the doors to Bastide tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 5. Yes, we heard as much last week, but the reservation lines didn't open for days after it was announced. Those who finally got through were told by the reservationist that they would verify "in a few days" if the restaurant would open or not. Confirmation calls were finally returned and we have lift off. From a tipster: "They asked if we had any food and wine aversions or allergies, so who knows what we're in store for."

· Bastide Lines Are Open...Sort Of [~ELA~]
if Pytka's behavior within the commercial production community is any indication of what his restaurant is like, i have no interest in eating there. i don't care who the chef is.
as long as LA has Osteria Mozza and Lucques, we have more than our fair share of talent combined with respectful owners and chefs. who needs Bastide?
