Joe Pytka Might Be Camera Shy, But Still Generous

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Joe Pytka might not want photos of the newly blossoming Bastide yet, but apparently the man has heart. Per a commenter below, Papa Joe foot the bill for the entire restaurant on opening night. It's not unusual for a restaurant to take care of its guests for a debut, but this wasn't a typical friends and family night where everyone was an invited guest and knew they would dine for free. Bastide was open to the public, so if you were lucky enough to get a reservation, you walked away feeling like a friend and/or family with a heavier wallet to boot. Kudos, Pytka.
