What's Going on With Citizen Smith?
Tuesday, October 2, 2007
We just ran across this ad on Craigslist for a hostess position at a "new rock & roll lounge" in Hollywood:
Hostess needed immediatly for new Restaurant/lounge. Great pay including tips and room for advancement. Need strong, happy, confident people to fill positions. You will be meeting alot of industry people, high profile actors, and great musicians with live performances.
The address for open interviews is for Citizen Smith, which we know has gone through some chef changes since it opened...early last year. That's not exactly new. We looked up the website, and it's down. We called the restaurant and were told that the website is undergoing "maintenance." Is the restaurant, too? We know it has DJs, but live music? Famous musicians? Well, Britney and Marky Mark were spotted there earlier this year. Are changes afoot?

by live music they must mean drunk people singing...but then again i haven't been since they changed chefs. maybe its for the better. there goes another late night spot!
Are they getting rid of movie night? darn! The problem with Hollywood is that it lives for the moment. IT is super sceney and changes everyt 6 months. To keep the bills paid they charge 25 bucks a drink.
Wow! This place used to be hot. Last months experience was a disaster. First off, the place was dead. No more valet in the restroom. A very unpleasant manager informed us they were having credit card problems and would we please walk across the street and go to the ATM.
Looks like all new staff and barely resembles its former self.
i had dinner there last week and it was terrible. absolutely terrible food; everything tasted like vinegar and/or was horribly heavy and fattening. good riddance.
