Fall Tracking Report: BLT Steak
Monday, October 8, 2007
Fall is a time for restaurant openings. Lots of them. Restaurateurs will make promises, excite us, with their grand plans. Consider this here the intel you need to keep abreast of it all—and start obsessing at just the right moment.
The NYC train continues to roll through town, next stop: Laurent Tourondel's BLT Steak taking over the Le Dome space on Sunset. Word hit in late 2006 that Tourondel would join Batali and Colicchio in the West Coast fray, then summer turned to fall, and now we hear January. The space seemed to sit idle through most of the summer, but new snaps arrived showing work on the inside and a perfectly Plywooded exterior. When finished, expect classic Tourondel steakhouse fare, with a slight touch of French bistro. Here's a look at the NYC menu.
