If you find yourself craving French fare at 4am downtown, you'll have to wait a bit longer. As is want to happen, the new 24/7 Mode downtown was supposed to open on Halloween night, but it didn't. And we drove by last night and noticed it was dark around 10:30pm. Apparently the permitting wheels keep a-turnin' so everything is on hold. Not shocking, just a burden for owner Tony Jones who's ready to flip the switch. Word from his camp is that Mode might "possibly open sometime this weekend," which couldn't sound more tentative.
