EaterWire: Fraiche Does Lunch, Bin 8945 Switches Gears, Harper's Closes
Wednesday, December 5, 2007

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Now that David Haskell wants to open Keg & Barrel, he and chef Michael Bryant are giving the menu a test drive at Bin 8945. The restaurant still has its tasting menus, but the new informal K&B menu has things like popcorn shrimp, Buffalo chicken strips, moule frites and hangar steak. [EaterWire Inbox]

CULVER CITY: Answering the demand: Fraiche is now open for lunch and dinner on Mondays. This makes a seven-day week for Jason Travi and his crew, with late-night menu at the bar, to boot. [EaterWire Inbox]

CENTURY CITY: We had simultaneous Shutter spottings for Harper's at the Westfield mall. One: "At Century City mall this evening I noticed that Harper's was closed. It was empty. Not sure why, but that's a nice location for someone I imagine." And two: "Looks like it bit the dust not long ago. Was in the area Sat, Dec 1, and everything is shuttered. No big loss."
