The Still Unnamed Giraud Brasserie
Friday, December 14, 2007

A little birdie tells us that Alain Giraud and Co. is close to naming their brasserie in the Clock Tower building in Santa Monica. What's taken so long? While the obvious choices would play on 'clock' or 'time' in French, the group wants to be sure the name works in other cities as well. You heard us correctly: The restaurant is still a couple months from opening, but there are already talks of taking the concept on the road. Another fun fact: There may be another more Giraud Giraud restaurant in the works for Los Angeles après the brasserie's debut.
