This doesn't come as too much of a shock considering David Haskell made it clear he's working on a new concept, but he confirmed that Bin 8945, which he opened in June 2006, has been sold. We don't have details on who bought it and what it might become (rumors swirled that Ludovic LeFebvre was the buyer: not true), but Haskell says it's pretty official at this point. "After word got around that I was looking to do something new, people expressed interest in buying the space," he says. "And for I want to do next, I need a bigger space, a different location." Bin will continue running "at top speed" through the holidays and into January.

He doesn't have a location for Keg & Barrel yet, but Haskell and Mike Bryant started testing the menu at Bin a few weeks ago and says it's been well recieved. He'll take a much-needed vacay after Bin shutters, then work on getting more money and a location for K&B, which he says will be akin to the Spotted Pig or Blue Ribbon in New York but more wine-focused.
