Two days shy of one-month-old, BondSt is the newest member of the New York Import cabal, which also includes such distinguished venues as Craft and Joe's Pizza. Here, proprietor Jonathan Morr's dark, woody, leathery interior is designed by Dodd Mitchell (as is the Thompson Hotel, in which BondSt lies) and Morr's up to the same tricks that made the New York original a success: models, some bottles, and way above average sushi, sashami and Stateside-Japanese fare.
