Mum's the word so far for STK, the trendy steakhouse from the trendy One Group that opened a week ago. First and foremost, it's always fashion before function at any of the One Group's restaurants (One Sunset included): eye-popping design, ridiculously close tables, not many hidden corners, dinner volume at nightclub decibels---all the better to see and be seen and not heard. iCrave design transformed the former Bridge space into an almost carbon copy of the NYC steakhouse right down to the curvy white booths, brick walls, and the bar as center of attention. The menu is also similar with some LA-inspired dishes thrown in for good measure, but food isn't the focus. Sure, you can get a decent rib-eye and sweet corn pudding, but it plays second fiddle to the scene. Soon Coco de Ville, a club within the resto-lounge, will open. More on STK here and here.
