Downtown Doldrums
Friday, February 29, 2008

A plea from one downtown denizen to chefs Suzanne Goin, David Lentz, Sang Yoon, Nancy Silverton and the like: "Downtown is full of creative, progressive, artistic people. I know my neighbors. They appreciate good food and drink. The fact that we are anxiously counting the days before a Wokcano opens is — to put a fine point on it — depressing, not to mention a harbinger of real dining desperation...for the love of all that is slow-roasted, brined, basted and perfectly seared, where is the foodie food" [Angelenic]
