James Overbaugh has been tapped to take over all dining at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, including room service, catering, special events, the new Roof Garden outdoor restaurant and The Belvedere. Per the flackage, Overbaugh was at Erna’s Elderberry House at the Relais & Chateaux designated Château du Sureau in Oakhurst, CA for 11 years. His influence over the menus---"fresh seasonal ingredients, creativity and flavors from around the world"---starts after May 20. Overbaugh replaces Sean Hardy who, we're told, left a few months ago.
