Eater Complaints Dept.: uWink's "Soft Open"

Welcome back to the Eater Complaints Dept. where Eater readers are invited to vent, gripe or praise at will. Got something to say? We're here for you.

Subject: uWink out of food!
___________________________________________

Tried to go to uWink at Hollywood & Highland last night. The place was nearly empty. I was really unimpressed with the menu, especially the selection. a half dozen entrees, a build your own burger, chicken sandwich and a couple of pastas and salads. Really uninspired. They were out of burgers and the pesto chicken pasta. Of course I found this out after I had spent a few minutes customizing my burger and fired my order off through the interactive menu system.

They offered me some sliders instead. What, you can give me 5 mini burgers but not one normal size one?

The manager used the excuse that they had only been open for a week. But I don't buy it. They've been running the same restaurant in Woodland hills for a couple of years. You would think they know how to properly order food. Doubt I will be back any time soon.

Sincerely,
Anonymous
