After Walter Manzke left Bastide, everyone has been wondering where he'd land. Will he stay in LA? Will he open his own place? At one point we heard he was working with Giraud at Anisette, which was totally false, and then we caught this on Chowhound: "I heard he is doing downtown restaurant with Drago brothers and he has left for Italy to do some research. This, friends, is true. According to reps for Drago Centro, the forthcoming restaurant from Celestino Drago, Manzke has signed on as chef de cuisine. With Cut and Valentino alums Matteo Ferdinandi and Giuseppe Mollica, respectively, running the front of the house, this sounds like one to get excited about.
