Here we have some fresh new renderings of Celestino Drago's forthcoming Drago Centro slated to open at City National Plaza in September. The 9,500-square-foot restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating, a lounge and bar, Vincenzo Marianella-created cocktails, Enomatic wine system, and a demonstration kitchen and a private dining room located in the bank's stone-walled vault. Pricetag: $7 million. Everything is right on track---construction taking place, managers planning and plotting, Drago creating the menu---however there is one change since the last time we checked in: Former Bastide chef Walter Manzke is no longer on board as chef de cuisine. We don't have the full story, but reps tell us they'll have a new chef announcement soon.
