Speaking of sushi: This spartan and stylish little number is Katsu Sushi, which debuted next to what will soon be LA Food Show as well as the soon-to-be Montage Hotel last month. It's literally a blink-and-you-miss it spot, especially with all the construction on that block of Beverly Drive and lack of parking/valet, but because it's owned by Katsu Michite of Studio City's Tama Sushi, it's worth seeking out. Michite is known for pristine and precise workmanship, no over-the-top accoutrements here---there are plenty others (and more expensive) around for that---and Jonathan Gold is a fan. Sometimes that's all it takes.
