We saw what XIV, otherwise known as the Michael Mina/Sam Nazarian project, will look like earlier this week, and now we finally know what it will taste like: Behold the dinner and drink menus. Note the explanation---"different from small plates and family-style dining, XIV’s menu of individual tasting portions allows guests to create their idea of the ultimate tasting menu"---with every item priced at $8 "per person." It's probably not nearly as complicated as it sounds. Reservation lines are already open (323.656.1414); the restaurant opens on October 16. [~ELA~]
