HOLLYWOOD: For those who thought the holidays would be the best time to score a table at Mozza, wrong: Both restaurants are open on Christmas Eve, but the Osteria will have a special "Feast of the Seven Fishes" dinner for $75 per person ("a few reservations remaining" on that one); both restaurants are closed on Christmas Day. No special menus for New Year's Eve, but expect both to be packed---they're even taking reservations for seating around the cheese bar, usually for walk-ins only, and some are still available. Both restaurants are open on New Year's Day. [EaterWire]
CULVER CITY: The Japanese maid café, Royal/T, has extended hours and a new dinner menu. It's now open until 9pm (Tue-Sat) with wine, beer and tapas-style dishes. Three for $14 and maid costumes? Total entertainment. [Eater Inbox]
CLAREMONT: A little out of the way but notable because Miss Irene gave it two-and-a-half stars last year: Rumor is Three Forks (which apparently changed the name to The Forks Chop House) had a kitchen fire today and will be closed for renovations for a couple months. The phone goes unanswered at the restaurant, and it's currently offline on OpenTable. [Eater Wire]
