Some plywood on a historic-looking building on Sunset Boulevard and Seward has Curbed asking: What is it and why is it taking so long? We happen to have that answer. In the works is another new one for George Abou-Daoud, yes, the same who owns the Bowery, Delancey, Mission and Tamarind Deli all east of Vine. Abou-Daoud says he's not ready to talk too many specifics yet---even if it's been boarded for a long time, it's still early in the planning/construction phase---but he and his partners plan to open a restaurant and wine shop in 2009.
