Santa Monica: With Hidden doneski, Cache has taken over with its opening last Friday. Josiah Citrin (Melisse) is cooking up a small-plate American menu (down below) using (no shocker) French technique and market-driven ingredients. The wine list includes over 200 bottles with selections from one of the owners' private collections, and as for cocktails, they're going the seasonal fruit route. The dining room aims to embody a laid-back California aesthetic and also serves as a gallery space with rotating art from local craftsmen. The restaurant is open Sun, Tue, and Wed from 6-10p, and Thu, Fri, Sat from 6-11p. Weekend brunch starts in August, and OpenTable reservations are currently accepted! 3110 Main Street, Santa Monica; (310) 399-4800; website [EaterWire]
