A few months ago Bret Thompson owner of milkshake den MILK on Beverly hinted to us that he had other food-related projects in the mix. Though he wouldn't share details, word's out that he has decided to feed the fashionistas via a new casual eatery he opened last Thursday in The Cooper Building. Similar in concept to MILK on Beverly though a little less shiny, Market offers seasonal salads, paninis, soups, sides, burgers (who isn't serving a burger these days), and some baked goods. The space is pretty big with the same order at the counter and take a number setup, but it's actually not much of a "market" so don't expect to stock up on products to take home. No shocker to find Bret downtown, he is well acquainted with the fashion industry since his wife owns a showroom in the building. [EaterWire]
