Yesterday came word that Capitol City owner Curtis Nysmith planned to expand his sports bar concept to Century City, and here now more details. The new place is actually going to be called The Tap Room by Capitol City, a slightly more grown up version of the Hollywood sports bar. The Tap Room will offer a more expansive menu, raw bar, and over 100 beers on tap, with the interior to be designed by Tag Front (Boa, Elevate, Takami, Katana, etc). Think 7,000 square feet inside and 1,500 square feet of outdoor decks running alongside Constellation Blvd plus private valet directly out front. Rumor has it that The Tap Room will claim the former Westfield Mall French 75 space that was slated to come Prime Bar, though that deal clearly fell apart.
