Over the weekend news leaked that ex- Food Network chef Juan-Carlos Cruz, author and host of the former series Calorie Commando, had been arrested in Santa Monica on Thursday after he allegedly approached several homeless people saying he would pay them to kill his wife. However, the plan never worked, the homeless people reported the incident to the police, and now Cruz is being held on a $5 million bail, charged with solicitation to commit murder.
