Downtown has certainly experienced a restaurant renaissance, and now this rebirth is trickling over into the coffee sphere. Back in May came word of forthcoming coffee shop and restaurant D2, and now blogdowntown reports that CoffeeBar is headed to this neck of the woods as well, slated to satiate caffeine cravings early 2011. Owners William Shamlian and Michael Leko, the same team behind Library Bar (not to be confused with Library Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel) and newbie Spring Street, strive for an "individual customer experience" by creating a center bar for a one-on-one customer/barista exchange, sounds just like...Intelligentsia in Venice. Anyway, CoffeeBar will offer both indoor and outdoor patio seating and brew beverages using Slayer Espresso machines. If successful, the plan is to open 10 additional locations nationwide.
