The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which dates back to the 1920s, has recently experienced a sort of renaissance with the debut of its new bowling lounge, The Spare Room, and the transformation of its signature restaurant from Dakota to Public Kitchen & Bar. The final icing on the cake comes with the launch of Vegas comedian Jeff Beacher's new subterranean bar and theatre, Beacher's Madhouse, that Vaudeville-inspired theater we mentioned way back in August. Since then the venue has opened for a slew of private events, with another round of previews starting next Wednesday. In September Beacher?s Madhouse will become a members-only venue, open seven nights a week. Interesting.
Anyway, so here's what to expect. First off, you will enter the venue through the above picture faux bookshelf wall, into a mirrored passageway that opens out to a 3,000 square foot space with a 1920s-inspired main stage, antique brass accents, and red velvet curtains. There are 18 VIP banquettes in addition to a birdcage booth (?) with seating for 20. Which brings us to...the Midget Bar. Guest can order drinks from "the Beau Joie Flying Midget bartender" behind (or on top of?) the bar.
Really, you'll just have to see this one for yourself.
