Scoops ice creamery, both eastside and westside, serves devout fans curious creative flavors of frozen cream. So, we thought, could there be such a thing as burger ice cream? Of course, why not?! Matthew Kang, proprietor of the westside cafe chatted with Tai Kim who runs the eastside locale and here's what the two came up with.
For the "burger" ice cream, the duo thought about possibly putting some meat flavor into the ice cream, such as a demi-glace. But then they decided that would just be disgusting. So, instead of actually putting meat flavor into the ice cream, they considered adding everything else that makes a burger good. Scoops has served jalapeno cheddar as a flavor before, so they spruced that up with some crispy candied bacon and some butter for good measure. It might be one of the most addictive flavors they've ever made.
Bacon Jalapeno Cheddar will be available today, Thursday, and Saturday at Scoops Westside. Scoops Westside changes $3.50 for a small cup of ice cream, either one or two flavors per cup.
