HOLLYWOOD— Hugh Garvey of Bon Appetit files an early report on Jason Neroni's craftings at Osteria La Buca. After a second visit to the recently remodeled restaurant he's a big fan of the Porchetta with Cannellini Beans and Spring Onion Agrodolce. Garvey also comments on Neroni's veg-pig skills, "Neroni's got a measured, porcine-way with vegetables, too: Roasted Carrots with Yogurt and Maple are topped with lardo--smoked (as if lardo needed any help). And amazingly it can get even more delicious. For cooking like this, I'm hoping Neroni sticks around." [BA]
