It's seriously been 700 years since our first Local 1205 report. Ok fine, maybe just two years, but that's still a long time to track a venue which, even now, remains closed. But not for long. Craig Weiss, owner of next door neighborhood beer and wine bar, The Otheroom, intends to open his gourmet market and deli on July 4. While it's not quite news anymore that he wants to sell gourmet cheese, salumi, fresh flowers, beer and wine, produce, smoothies, sandwiches, all that good stuff - what is news is that Weiss plans to also include a pressed juicery and Local 1205 will be the first merchant in LA to sell Mylkman's fresh almond/coconut milk (right now it's only available via delivery). And, good news (well, depending on how you look at it). After that whole fight to stay open super late, Local 1205 came out on top, so its hours of operation run 7AM-4AM. Wow! This is definitely going to be a westside late night go-to.
