Sheesh. It's June, which means that if Axe doesn't reopen within the next two months, a full year will have passed since its fire shutter last August. Crazy that it's almost been a full year. And, over that time span, conflicting reports have surfaced suggesting first that Axe might not reopen at all, then pointing in the direction of a relaunch. Construction crew said the eatery would debut in January, then April, but alas, still a boarded up plywood situation over there. However, it does appear that construction is almost complete, check out the above interior shots of a much more finished restaurant with freshly painted walls, furniture lying out, and equipment ready to be installed. Within the next two months... probably.
