If you're on the LA Creamery mailing list, here's an email you would have received circa 9:45PM. The original LA Creamery outpost inside the Westfield Topanga mall has stopped scooping, however business remains strong in Glendale and Sherman Oaks, says owner Brad Saltzman. When Saltzman originally signed the Westfield Topanga lease he was informed by the VP of Westfield leasing that 3,000 people a day walk into the mall from Nordstrom, which means those patrons would have to pass LA Creamery since it's located next door. Unfortunately, Saltzman says only a few hundred people at best pass through. So, he tried to stick it out but "realized it will never get better because there are simply no people to capture." And that brings us to last night. The End.
