Serafina, a posh NY-based Northern Italian chainlet popular with celebs and socialites alike, does want to open in LA. In fact, this is really quite an appropriate fit for this here flashy city. Co-owner Fabio Granato almost snagged a prime spot on La Cienega late last summer, but that fell through and according to PR a location has yet to be selected. Right now Serafina Restaurant Group is working on opening two new spaces in NYC, relocating two existing NYC restaurants, AND launching in Greenwich, CT. Once that is squared away they will focus on LA and expect to secure a venue this spring, at the earliest.
