Tonight is the very final night of service at Los Angeles sushi institution Sushi Nozawa. Here, have a tissue. Since announcing this shocking end to a 25 year sushi success story, devout patrons have waited in long lines to take a final bite of Kazunomi Nozawa's meticulously sliced fish and pay last respects. As expected, Sushi Nozawa will reopen as a branch of Nozawa's more casual and wallet-friendly sugarFISh chainlet, and according to the sugarFISH newsletter, the transformation will be complete this spring. Everybody is sad.
