A long while back Eater heard that Nancy Silverton, and actually Mario Batali as well, were both interested in opening food establishments on Abbot Kinney in Venice. Silverton's father Larry owns the building pictured over right, soon to open as Feed Body + Soul, but back before that eatery took over, supposedly Nancy considered the space for a pizza something. Strangely enough, Eater recently heard that Nancy is involved with the Feed restaurant, but according to Feed PR, this is not the case. Which is certainly a disappointment. In any event, Feed has hired barman Marcos Tello (1886, The Varnish) to craft its organic drinks program, meanwhile chef Matt Dickson will oversee the health oriented menu. The restaurant, expected to open sometime this fall, focuses around a list of farmers market eats with lean proteins prepared on a rotisserie, lots of whole grains/seeds, and minimal oil.
