Although custom pizza is beginning to feel like yesterday's hotness, Clusi Batusi, a cute, cheerful new personal pizza place in West LA is poised to do well on the usually crowded block of Sawtelle near Mississippi. Ready to catch the overflow from SushiStop, NongLA, and the ever popular Tsujita, Clusi Batusi will offer up a non Asian alternative from chef Michele Gargani. Three standard salads, a handful of pre-determined pizza combos, plus the requisite design-your-own pie comprise the menu as of September 8. Right now it's just tea and soda to drink, but beer and wine coming in the future.
