New intel just in on 041 Bacaro, the replacement for Culver City's Santa Maria Barbecue, bearing no relation to Bacaro downtown. 041 Bacaro is a forthcoming osteria, slated to debut next year with a standup wine bar and more formal sit-down dining room. Overall though it's a casual concept, think chalkboard menu listing wines by the glass, and a small plate cicchetti food menu. The principal behind this deal is a Venice, Italy native who spent 10 years working for Cipriani Group.
