Ludo Lefebvre, Jon Shook, and Vinny Dotolo are opening a "truck stop" themed restaurant inside a Melrose strip mall. That's happening, says Zagat. The location itself is no longer a mystery, however the concept has remained mostly on the DL until now. Ludo explains that a recent trip to Burgundy with Anthony Bourdain inspired the idea, and with the Animal/Son of a Gun crew the eatery will serve about 80% French and 20% American fare. As for the intimate 36-seat space a stone's throw from Mozza, think not fancy but not casual, somewhere in the middle for food and design. The build is expected to wrap in about a month, with an estimated debut in December or early January.
