Hollywood’s Grandmaster Recorders is serving two options for New Year’s Eve — one that includes a full dinner and one that only has appetizers and an open bar. For those desiring a full dinner, chef Blake Shailes is serving a six-course menu that comes with live music and entry to 71 Studio Bar or the rooftop. Tickets are $95 per person from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and $120 per person from 7:15 to 10 p.m. For the appetizer and booze crowd, tickets are priced at $83 per person from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. DJs will dedicate the night to David Bowie along with other classics. Joseon Pop-Up
Chef Debbie Lee’s ongoing Korean tasting menu pop-up in Silver Lake will have two options for New Year’s Eve: a $99 five-course menu and a $149 seven-course meal with modern Korean dishes including wagyu ribeye tartare, celebratory rice cake soup, and abalone porridge. Botanica
Botanica is serving a set dinner menu for $110 per person that includes a complimentary glass of bubbles. On the menu are king trumpet mushrooms with pecorino Romano,

The Lonely Oyster
Echo Park gem the Lonely Oyster will serve a few special holiday dishes during its New Year’s Eve service including a surf and turf option with a bone-in ribeye and spot prawns, latkes with smoked salmon, and tuna chateaubriand with herbed fries. ABSteak
Chef Akira Back’s classy Korean barbecue spot at the Beverly Center isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary for New Year’s Eve, though the upscale ambiance and high-end tabletop barbecue make for a fine place to celebrate on December 31. AB Steak is also one of the few places to try North Korean-style Pyongyang naengmyeon, a nice complement to the grilled meats.
Here's Looking At You
Here’s Looking At You’s new chef de cuisine Sieger Bayer is putting together a 10-course menu this New Year’s Eve. Chefs Max Boonthanakit and Lijo George have updated and refined popular Camphor classics for New Year’s Eve including mackerel crudo and duck with sweet and savory sauce. Head to the Arts District’s De La Nonna which has three NYE seatings for its four-course prix fixe dinner. Select a reservation for 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., or 9 p.m., which includes oysters, vegetables, pizza, dessert, plus drinks and dancing to follow at sister bar Let’s Go! Disco. The price also includes a midnight Champagne toast.
Le Champ
Chef Justin Hilbert is digging into his French fine dining repertoire this New Year’s Eve and serving two seven-course menus — one for vegans ($100) and one for everyone else ($125). Both include a Champagne toast. The non-vegan menu includes a rainbow trout prepared with guava and roe, and camembert with black truffles. Vibey Santa Monica restaurant Mon Ami is throwing a grand party with live jazz from Courtney Lemmon Jazz quartet, a DJ spinning tunes from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., hors d’oeuvres before 9:30 p.m., and bottle service. French spot Coucou in Venice is serving three different options this New Year’s Eve. Long Beach’s Colombian specialist will serve a four-course dinner on New Year’s Eve with a Champagne toast for $70 per person. The menu includes arepas, braised greens, pork belly chicharron, Colombian-style cornish hen, or surf-and-turf ribeye and grilled lobster with yeasted butter along with desserts. There are two seatings at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Reservations are available via Yelp but walk-ins are welcome.
Belles Beach House
Those wishing they spent the holidays in Hawaii might feel most comfortable at this Venice playhouse just a few steps from the ocean (don’t worry, there’s plenty of heating inside). From 10 p.m. to late, a DJ will play curated tunes while punch bowls and cocktails spill forth from the Tiki-decorated bar. Cover charge is a modest $24 with a midnight champagne toast, while bottle service table options are also available.
