The Sofitel hotel on Beverly Boulevard recently upgraded its restaurant with a new Frenchy Mediterranean eatery, Estérel, and now management is nearly ready to debut the property's revamped lounge, Riviera 31. Slated to launch on May 3, the drinkery is supposed to evoke a mid-century French Riviera aesthetic conceived by Kayat Designs. Lauded cocktail chef Matt Biancaniello, formerly of Library Bar in the Roosevelt hotel, is bringing his creative mix of bespoke libations to the lounge, highlighting beverages most popular around the Cote d'Azur. Also on offer, small plates from Estérel chef Marius Blin. [ELA]
