Right by Würstkuche, Angel City Brewery and the new Umami Burger comes a classic arcade bar called EightyTwo, set to open later this year. Owners and Downtown residents Scott Davids and Noah Sutcliffe have amassed over FORTY fully refurbished vintage arcade and pinball games from the 1960s to the 1990s, and Davids actually restored the arcade games himself. Attractions like Centipede, Streetfighter II, Pole Position and Pac-Man will be spaced between two 2,000 square foot rooms that are connected by a 1,7000 square foot outdoor patio. The space itself, which has a full bar, is designed by local Sci-Arc Architect Darin Johnstone and he's going for a minimalist gallery-esque look that highlights the games as playable pieces of art.
