Cochon 555 tours the country as if it were a popular band, and last night the roving nose-to-tail pig fest announced its 2014 dates. Cochon hits LA much earlier than in years past, landing at a tba venue on February 23. Five LA chefs will each turn a 200 pound heritage breed pig into six dishes, with beer from Goose Island Beer Co. (new sponsor), wine, and booze. A 20-person judging panel determines one winning chef and he/she goes on to compete in the Grand Cochon at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. GA tickets cost $125 and VIP early admission is $200.
