Recess, chef Sevan Azarian's four-year-old California cafe in Glendale, is jumping over to Highland Park, taking Verdugo Pet Shop on York Boulevard. The community is in support of the 150-seat restaurant's beer and wine application, as long as alcohol is only served during meal times, which would be 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Right now the goal is to open in February or March 2014.
